Who am I?

Hi there!  I'm Renee Barth a natural light, freelensing photographer that spends a lot of time meeting and getting to know the families I serve.  I love building personal relationships with my clients and their families.  It makes sense for me to share a little bit of my life with you.

I live here....

Well not exactly, but I do live in Weston, WI.  My husband and I met in Eau Claire back in 1997 while attending college at UWEC.  After a few years in Alaska, we've settled in Eau Claire to raise our family. Then in 2022 my husband took a new job in my hometown of Wausau. Nothing like returning to your roots.

Hi there!

In 2012,  my youngest son was born, and I made the decision to leave my job as a high school Social Studies teacher to stay home and raise my boys.  I am beyond grateful for making this decision, as they have grown up so fast.

Even though I was a stay-at-home mom, I still wanted to be able to contribute to my family.  I have spent those years obsessed with natural light photography.  Staying home gave  me the opportunity to practice and expand my skills as a self-taught photographer.  I've taken numerous online courses and spent countless hours practicing lighting and photographic techniques, as well as post editing skills.

In July 2013, I launched my photography business in Eau Claire and have never looked back.  Over the past few years, I have grown a lot as an artist.  The business itself with the support of my family, clients, and other photographers has built itself beyond my wildest dreams.

In 2022, we uprooted our 17years of living in the Chippewa Valley to settle back near my hometown of Wausau, WI. It’s such a beautiful area I can’t wait to build my clientele and capture this gorgeous region. I will still be photographing in the EC area on occasion, as we have our year-round cabin in Jim Falls.
