Liz & Wade

A DIY wedding, Wausau, WI.

I was so excited to head back to my home town to shoot this wedding.  Neither the bride nor groom are from Wausau but, it is a beautiful place, filled with history, natural landscapes, and a charm hard to top.

Getting ready began at the hotel, modern by comparison.  The bride and groom chose an intimate group to help them prepare.  I was especially taken by Liz's calm demeanor and the detailed touches she added to her floral arrangements and dress.

They headed to the ceremony site, the Yawkey House.  It was an extremely hot day so the wedding party took shelter in the open historical carriage house.  See and early post for the pre-wedding moments.

The party then headed over to Granite Peaks Ski lodge for the reception.  The open airiness of it all and the beautiful mountainess setting put the finishing touches on this perfect day.

Congrats Liz and Wade!  I am hoping your first months of marriage have been all that and more!
